Knockout Stage
During the knockout stage the first semi-final fixture occurs on March 4 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium while the second semi-final takes place on March 5 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.The first semi-final match will play at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on March 4 if India gets qualification.Semi-final 2 will take place on March 5 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore as long as Pakistan enters the competition.The championship final game will take place on March 9 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. India will compete in the final match at Dubai International Cricket Stadium no matter which teams progress to the final.
Historical Context
Since its first tournament in 1998 the ICC Champions Trophy has welcomed various different championship teams. The ICC Champions Trophy belongs to Australia and India who have achieved victories twice. Pakistan claimed their inaugural championship by becoming champions for the first time during the 2017 tournament.
